Smart Eating
Obesity is one of the major health crisis facing our nation and its children. Teaching children to eat a healthy diet along with being active are important lessons we can share.
There are simple steps that can have a dramatic effect on our children summarized by using the numbers 5-2-1-0 . We recommend 5 fruits or vegetables a day, 2 hours or less of televisions and computer games, at least 1 hour of activity each day and 0 calories from drinks (a hidden source of many calories).
