This is a fundraising event for the Central Minnesota Sustainability Project’s new watering system at the Main Prairie Road community garden. As an organization that promotes sustainability in Central Minnesota, BLEND would love for you to attend this evening of music, dance, awareness, and community building.
 
It is part of a new series being hosted at the Red Carpet Nightclub called “Making Music for Making Changes”. On Thursday, May 23rd, from 8:30pm to 2:00am we have live music performances by The Zombie Pit String Band, The Hobo Nephews of Uncle Frank, and the Evergreen Grassband. We will have also have live painting, and local sustainability venders promoting their efforts in the community.
  
Tickets are 10$ and can be purchased at the Electric Fetus or at the door, and it is a 21+ event. Please help spread the word to support Minnesota music and our local community gardens. (We are only $2,200 away from our fundraising goal!)

This is a BLEND-endorsed Fit Kids Club Series event!!!

This is the 9th Annual Apple Kids Duathlon!!  The Apple Kids popularity continues to grow as the word of this fun challenge spreads across central Minnesota. In 2013 we hope to reach 250+ young athletes. Why? Because this race is all about motivating kids to be active and have some fun!  And then, of course, there are goodies: chip timing, a cool T-shirt, post-race food and drink, awesome awards, door prizes, and more!

This years event will use the same course as the previous years. And it will utilize the same top-notch organizing committee, venue, sponsors, and loyal volunteers to provide a well-organized, fun, and safe race!!!

Short Course - 1/4 mile run; 2 1/2 mile bike; 1/4 mile run

• Race Age 6, 7 and 8
• Race Age 9 and 10

Long Course - 1/2 mile run; 6 1/2 mile bike; 1/2 mile run

• Race Age 11 and 12
• Race Age 13 and 14
• Race Age 15 and 16

Since 2000, the Sartell Apple Duathlon has been recognized as one of America’s premier run-bike-run events. It’s been a few years since the Sartell-based multi has been asked by USAT to serve as a World Championship Qualifier…  The wait is over. The Sartell Apple Duathlon 2013 has been named one of three official qualifiers for Duathlon Worlds.

This is a standard short course duathlon: 5k run – 33k bike – 5k run. The start is at Sartell Middle School then leads out through St. Stephen back over the Mississippi River along the River Road.

Come out to the Caring For Kayleen 5K to benefit the family of Kayleen Larson and her fight with Leukemia.  Everyone is welcomed – kids, family…pets, too!  The event will take place at the Sportsman’s Park in Clearwater. 

Course will start at the Sportsman’s Park, running along scenic CR 143 and Fuller Lake, going across the private I-94 bridge, past Warner Lake Park, and looping back to finish at the Sportsman’s Park.
